Here at Sprout Creatives, so much of what we design and develop takes place in the digital world. To celebrate Earth Day this year, we are in the process of going completely paperless. This means that all of our proposals, contracts and customer invoicing in the very near future are going to be digital PDF files that require electronic signatures. That's right, with the exception of our company documents, our company checkbook and our shelves of research material, no paper! We've even started using recycled plastic to now print our really cool business cards. This decision is going to clearly impact the way that we as a company collect our client's content. We have been working with Basecamp, Quickbooks Online and Authorize.net for a few years now and find that digital content management, automatic monthly billing and processing has increased our productivity and has helped our clients stay organized.
Sprout Creatives is currently developing an online process where businesses can discuss their projects and send us the content that we need to build their websites through a series of online forms. To cut down on drive time and gasoline consumption and our carbon footprint we are beginning to hold most of our meetings on GoToMeeting.com Our goal even though it may sound absurd, is to try to do our small part to help the environment. All of the equipment that we use on a daily basis is built by Apple Computers. Their devotion to making the planet a better place is unparalleled in the technology industry. To see how Apple strives to make Earth better, watch the short film to understand how they are committed to the environment.
On a local and national level, Sprout Creatives is a strong supporter of the Surfrider Foundation. The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. The Surfrider Foundation was founded back in 1984 by a handful of local surfers from Malibu, California.
